For over a decade, Autism Unplugged Learning Centre has worked in partnership with children, youth, and their families in York Region and surrounding communities to support learning, development, and everyday life.
We offer individualized, evidence-based services that build on each child’s strengths and respond to their unique needs. Our support extends beyond autism, welcoming families seeking help with communication, learning, social skills, and independence.
Our purpose is to help every child build skills and confidence - and help families feel supported along the way.
Their programs are catered to your child’s specific needs offering programs of all kinds. Including but not limited to ABA, CBT, PRT, social groups, family support and informational sessions. They have gone above and beyond in the past In our community with flag raising events, Santa visits, fighting for our needs at queens park, and local municipality town meetings. This business and family is genuinely good hearted and wants the best for our kids (and theirs!!!!) I cannot tell you how much our family has been supported in so many aspects of life through this centre. It’s amazing to be able to find a village that not only shares in your successes but also helps you in your times of need. Never once did I feel that my son was just another number, which has always been the case with other services we tried. We were always made to feel like we were part of the solution. Part of something bigger, beyond just us. We had tried different centres and different therapies prior to Unplugged, but found this centre offered it all. There was no need for us to look elsewhere. Thankyou again to all the staff at Unplugged for the invaluable role they have played in our sons life.

When we first brought our son (who has severe, nonverbal autism) to Autism Unplugged, we really didn’t know where to turn next. We had been to several doctors, to the emergency department, developmental pediatrician, physchologist and more. Our boy didn’t know how to communicate his needs or regulate his emotions. He was frustrated and so were we.
Not only is our son maturing and growing up to be a calm and happy young man, thanks to Autism Unplugged he has the patience to help us understand him better and how he’s feeling. The work they do with Alex to learn the way that he needs to, is invaluable.
From using his communication device to learning new things and daily living skills, the progress he has made while working with Autism Unplugged is amazing and impressive.

My son attended for 4 months before his funds were unreconciled by the government as he attends through OAP. We went through 3 other service providers before we ended up at Unplugged and I will never go anywhere else! The owners are very knowledgeable and will fight for your children; they will guide you in accessing funds or how to access supports if you need it! The staff at the centre are very knowledgeable and speak with you about your child’s day at the end of the day along with keeping a daily communication book (this is so important to me considering my child is non-verbal). With all this I have seen so many positives that I didn’t see with other clinics. I can’t wait to see where this takes my son in his future! Thank you all for being such an impact on my life and my sons (also my daughters)! You should be very proud of the centre you have and the lives you are impacting. Thank you from the bottom of my heart once again!
